Tomorrow is the 70th anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Nagasaki. People lived through it, survived an unfathomable brutality, and, mind-blowingly, they are still alive today to talk about it. Their stories are so painful, unimaginable. I grew up in the Reagan era with great fear of atomic war. I spent much time protesting atomic bombs and even participated in a “die-in” where we all enacted dying. Protests work. Let us keep the world free from ever having to tell such stories again. Sending love and respect to the victims and survivors and their families. Peace.
